The report indicated that the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and its subsidiaries were able, in just two years, to achieve outstanding business results and provide distinguished services according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, as the preliminary financial results for the fiscal year 2023/2024, and the results achieved during the fiscal year 2022/2023 compared to the results achieved during the previous year, show this great development in the achieved results.. As the total revenues of the holding company according to the preliminary indicators for the fiscal year 2023/2024 amounted to EGP 4.117 billion, compared to total revenues of EGP 1.953 billion in 2022/2023, and compared to total revenues of EGP 1.480 billion in 2021/2022, an increase of 111%, and 178% over the previous two years in a row.. The final net profit for the fiscal year 2023/2024 amounted to EGP 3.223 billion, compared to EGP EGP 1.380 billion for the year 2022/2023, compared to EGP 1.185 billion for the year 2021/2022, an increase of 134% and 172% over the previous two years, respectively. The report indicated that this was achieved as a reflection of the financial results achieved by the holding companys subsidiaries, as the total revenues of the subsidiaries for the year 2023/2024 amounted to EGP 17.640 billion, compared to EGP 12.884 billion for the year 2022/2023, and EGP 8.105 billion for the year 2021/2022, an increase of 37%, and 118% over the previous two years, respectively.. The net profit for the subsidiaries amounted to EGP 10.551 billion in the year 2023/2024, compared to EGP 6.668 billion for the year 2022/2023 and EGP 3.283 billion for the year 2021/2022, an increase of 58% and 221% over the previous two years, respectively. The report indicated that these achieved results are due to the efforts made in only two years, during which the implementation of restructuring plans began, and the development of work systems and assets of the companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport was initiated as follows: Container and cargo handling activity: The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport contributes to (3) companies operating in the field of container and cargo handling (Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling - Port Said Container and Cargo Handling - Damietta Container and Cargo Handling), which were able to achieve an increase in the final net profit in 2023/2024 by an amount of 7.4 billion pounds over 2021/2022, 2022/2023 - Port Said and Damietta Container Handling Companies also achieved an increase in the number of handled containers by 395 thousand containers over 2022/2023, and 791 thousand containers over 2022/2023, in light of the implementation of restructuring plans, raising efficiency, and supplying 3 yard cranes Giant RTG and 3 giant STS quay cranes, in addition to deepening and dredging the quays, increasing the depth, attracting international shipping lines, and rehabilitating the yards while improving operational processes through the application of the latest electronic operating systems. The holding companys report confirmed that in the maritime transport activity, the National Navigation Company succeeded with its fleet in securing the transport of wheat imported to Egypt. The company also took measures to modernize the transport fleet within the framework of supporting the national fleet with high-tech ships that are in line with current and future market needs, and added the ship (Wadi Al-Muluk), on which President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi raised the Egyptian flag. It is a modern dry bulk ship of the (BULK) class, of the "Kamsar Max" model, with a capacity of 82.3 dead tons, a length of 229 m, a width of 32.25 m, and a maximum draft of 14.5 m. The ship complies with all the requirements of local and international supervisory bodies and commercial operation; It was equipped with the latest modern technical technologies in terms of machines, generators and advanced navigational devices. The company also purchased the ship (Wadi El Arish) and added it to the marine fleet with a total capacity of 82 thousand tons. It is considered the jewel of the national commercial fleet due to its equipment and navigational devices with the latest global technologies and models, and also for its compliance with environmental requirements. The ship is 229 meters long, 32 meters wide, and 14.5 meters draft. The ship supports the Egyptian commercial fleet in securing and transporting strategic goods imported to Egypt, especially wheat, on behalf of the General Authority for Supply Commodities. The company was keen to contract to build a number of new ships, and to restructure the system for evaluating and appointing marine crews on ships with the use of ERP Verson. CFM applications, within the framework of implementing the presidential directives to restore the strength of the Egyptian commercial fleet and to achieve the greater goal of transforming Egypt into a regional center for transportation, logistics and transit trade. It also agreed to manage the model warehouse in Safaga Sea Port in an area of Area of 5900 m2 for five years starting from 10/2/2022. In the storage activity inside and outside the customs district: The Egyptian General Warehouses Company establishes, manages and exploits public warehouses, yards and free zones - The companys total initial revenues for the year 2023/2024 amounted to 655 million pounds, and the net profit amounted to 166 million pounds. In the activity of the navigation agency and customs clearance: The Canal Shipping Agencies Company, within the framework of restructuring efforts after transferring the affiliation to the Ministry of Transport, reactivated the shipping agent activity, expanded the storage activity, opened new areas of work in the activity of providing logistics services, and restarted the Arish branch to provide the companys services to port customers, with the addition of new activities to increase revenues (logistics areas management and operation activity - real estate investment activity). The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport also took measures to merge companies (Abu Simbel and Taiba for Navigation Agencies - Amon for Navigation Agencies - Memphis for Navigation Agencies in Abu Simbel and Taiba Company to implement restructuring procedures for the aforementioned companies to benefit from the advantages of the merger process in establishing strong entities capable of competing and developing revenues. In the activity of supplies and marine works: The Egyptian Company for Supplies and Marine Works, after transferring the affiliation to the Ministry of Transport, made efforts to develop the companys revenues, as total revenues in 2023/2024 amounted to 445 million pounds, compared to 379 million pounds for the year 2022/2023, and against 100 million pounds for the year 2021/2022, with an increase of 17%, and 345% respectively, as a result of purchasing 2 launches to increase the activity of supplying ships in the Port Said branch.. and expanding in many activities, including the activity of buying and selling scrap and stagnant, salvaging and scrapping sunken ships - and the activity of safely disposing of hazardous waste - and the activity of works and carrying out sandblasting, painting and cleaning works for marine unit tanks. The company also implemented an electronic billing system, and purchased 50 computers to link the main center to the branches and implement civil protection procedures for the companys warehouses. Passenger transport activity: The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport has three companies operating in the field of passenger transport between governorates, namely (Egypt for Transport and Tourism EG BUS - East Delta for Transport and Tourism - West and Central Delta Bus for Transport and Tourism), which provide their services to transport passengers between the governorates of the Republic on regular lines with various service levels and buses equipped with modern technology, and passenger stations spread throughout the governorates of the Republic. The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport has adopted a comprehensive development and modernization plan for the three passenger transport companies, which has been approved by the Minister of Transport, including granting financing to companies to implement the strategic plan with a total amount of 1.706 billion pounds, according to the following: Contracting to purchase and supply 48 MAN Kastor buses with a total amount of 354 million pounds, and 10 buses have been received and the supply is being completed. Contracting to supply 100 Yutong buses produced by El Nasr Automotive Company with a total amount of 1.050 billion pounds, with 50 buses for each of the East Delta companies West and Central Delta.. Restructuring and upgrading 382 buses in stages, in addition to upgrading service stations and maintenance workshops.. The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport also contributed to the capital of Acta Public Transport Company, which provides passenger transport service within the Administrative Capital with 50 buses that operate on clean electric energy.. The Holding Company also contributed to the capital of the Egyptian Bus Company EGYPT - BRT by financing the purchase of 100 buses that operate on electric energy to transport passengers on the Ring Road within the framework of the states orientation to provide transportation services using clean and environmentally friendly means. Freight transport activity: The holding company implemented procedures to restructure the five freight transport companies affiliated to the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and merge them into the Nile Freight Transport Company to create a strong entity capable of providing freight transport services with the highest standards of quality and efficiency required, which led to an increase in the quantity of goods transported and thus the revenues achieved - as total revenues amounted, according to the preliminary results for the fiscal year 2023/2024, to EGP 234 million, compared to EGP 178 million for the year 2022/2023, an increase of 35% over the previous year. The plan to develop the freight transport fleet is being completed by supporting the transport fleet, as a contract was signed to purchase and supply 50 tractor heads / and 53 semi-trailers.
